Last 20th of November ended 2021’s edition of SMOPYC, the biggest exhibition of public works’ machinery, construction and mining celebrated in Spain and south of Europe. A very expected edition, because it was postponed twice because of the pandemic, and because we launched HINE Zaragoza, HINE’s branch in the region.

The eighteenth edition was expected with moderated optimism, because it had an increase of 6% exhibitors and 18.000 square meters in comparation with 2017’s edition. Something to appreciate, specially taking into consideration the difficulties derived from the pandemic experimented by the participant sectors in SMOPYC.

And the truth is that being finished the exhibition and having evaluated the results, we can say SMOPYC didn’t disappoint. Although, as expected, it did not reach the 55,000 attendees of four years ago, the organisers have made a positive balance on a qualitative and quantitative level. Something which agree Oscar Sierra, HINE Zaragoza’s manager: “It’s been an occasion to meet again with many of our customers and suppliers, with whom we haven’t met for a long time due to the pandemic. We have taken the opportunity to explain them what this new stage means for us, which we are facing with optimism and ambition thanks to HINE’s Group international support and strength.
