HINE Group inaugurates its first plant in Poland and reinforces its presence in Central and Eastern Europe
HINE Group has announced the opening of its first plant in Poland, located in Fortress Logistics Park Stargard, around 30 km from Szczecin. This new facility, HINE Polska Sp. z o.o., will play a strategic role in the Group’s expansion across Central and Eastern Europe, with a focus on producing hydraulic components and cooling systems for offshore wind turbines, in line with the global transition towards clean energy. It is also conceived as a multi-functional production hub, combining the manufacture of original equipment with Service activities — components, repair, maintenance and training — reinforcing HINE’s strategy to consolidate itself as a full-scope supplier for the wind power sector.
The long-term lease agreement has been signed with Fortress Real Estate Investments Limited, owner of class-A logistics parks. HINE will occupy a total of 5,600 m², comprising 5,200 m² of production space and 400 m² of offices and staff facilities, and will initially have a workforce of 20 people. The new Stargard plant has been designed specifically for HINE and meets the highest technical and environmental standards, backed by BREEAM New Construction certification at the “Excellent” level.
With this new plant, HINE now has nine production centres in seven countries: Spain, where the Group’s headquarters and origins are in Olaberria, plus another site in Zaragoza; the United States (since 2005); China, with a production plant in Langfang and offices in Shanghai (2006); Brazil, where it has two more plants, one in Indaiatuba (2010) and another in Parnamirim (2024); India (2011); Mexico (2021); and now Poland (2025). Since the start of its internationalisation process in 2000, the Group has acquired seven companies in the sector and currently has a global team of 750 people and turnover of more than 200 million euros.
This new opening falls within the HINE Group Strategic Plan 2025–2028 (PEGH 2025–2028), which aims to maintain profitable growth, lead the global market for hydraulic solutions for renewable energy, and boost the sale of components (Services) both in the industrial segment and in the wind sector.
Lander Guibelalde, CEO of HINE Group, highlights:
“One of our core values is customer focus. We are committed to offering the best service, and this plant allows us to be strategically close to one of our main customers so that we can respond quickly, efficiently and in a personalised way. We expect the offshore segment to be one of the main levers for growth within the plan.”
Peio Marcos Mardones, Plant Manager in Poland
The management of HINE Polska will be entrusted to 38-year-old engineer Peio Marcos Mardones, from Bilbao, who has extensive experience within the Group. His career includes time at HINE’s plant in Indaiatuba (Brazil), three years at the Group’s plant in India and his work as Director of Process Engineering for the Group at the headquarters in Olaberria.
“It is a real personal challenge. We have set ourselves an ambitious target for 2028: to reach turnover of 15 million euros, supported by our main customers,” says Mardones.
Last month, during the Poland–Spain Economic Forum held in Bilbao and organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), HINE had the opportunity to connect with Poland’s Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Polish Wind Energy Association and other key stakeholders. The meeting addressed how to build a sustainable and modern economy together, highlighting the importance of collaboration between both countries in the energy transition, reindustrialisation and the development of innovative technologies.
Iñaki González Martín, Global Chief Operations Officer (COO) of HINE Group, adds:
“We are investing in Poland not only because of its proximity to our customers, but because the country is positioning itself as a key player in the energy transition, especially in the development of offshore wind energy. Our decisions always seek competitiveness, which is the key to success. We are delighted to contribute to the growth of a solid and dynamic wind industry in Poland and Europe.”
