On May 10, Donostia will host the 12th Race and Walk Against Cancer in
Gipuzkoa, a solidarity initiative led by the Cancer Association aimed at raising
awareness about the disease and collecting funds to support affected
individuals and their families.
Over the years, the race and walk have become a day open to the whole
society, bringing together thousands of people around a common cause and
highlighting the importance of prevention, support, and social care.
In 2025, the Cancer Association assisted more than 1,300 people in Gipuzkoa,
including patients, relatives, and participants in prevention programs. Of these,
103 belonged to the Urola Garaia–Goierri region, demonstrating the direct and
local impact of this work in our environment.
The event will take place at Alderdi Eder (Donostia) and will include different
activities so everyone can participate in their own way:
• 10:00 – 5 km race
• 10:45 – Zumba session
• 11:30 – 3 km walk / Nordic walking

awareness for a cause that concerns us all.
